Tango Workshops with José & Reanna

Tango instructors José Argañarás and Reanna Willis have just arrived from Bariloche, Argentina, and are delivering two workshops at Movimiento during their short stay in North Queensland.

The workshops will be held on Thursday 3 September and 10 September, from 6pm to 8pm, followed by practicas [social dancing/practice] at the Heritage Exchange from 8.30pm until around 10.30pm.  Our regular Thursday Bachata and Tango classes will be on hold during that time.

The workshops will address Tango basics, and touch on style variants Vals and Milonga, so absolute beginners are welcome! Great value to have international teachers for just $35 per 2 hour workshop (or $60 if you book for both Thursdays)

Sebastian Bran at Movimiento

Saturday April 11 you can challenge your body to move in new ways with Danse Contemporaine with Sebastien. This workshop is open to anyone who dances any style, or who has never danced at all. Sebastien covers some contemporary technique,  fun exercises to loosen your body and spirit, and then will guide you through a part choreographed, part improvised dance routine. Places available, $25.
Combine 10am Pilates class + 11.30am Danse Contemporaine for just $30

Friday April 17 we welcome JCU’s Latin American Student Association LASA to Movimiento for their once-a-semester Latin Party, Vol.IV.
You don’t have to be a LASA member to attend, but get here early, it usually sells out!

Saturday April 18 we’re hosting international bachatero Tony Lara for a 6pm  Bachata Workshop, after which he will guest dj our April Movimiento Latin Dance Party.
To get the most from the workshop you’ll need at least a basic understanding of Bachata, so book a private with Bernadette prior to the workshop if you’re new or rusty!
